The Alabama Clean Campus Program is designed to involve all Alabama schools in litter control and beautification projects, which will develop and sustain stewardship and environmental awareness. The program is available at no cost to all Alabama public and private schools and PALS provides all supporting materials such as large Clean Campus Litter Bags, brochures, School Window Decals and The PALS Teachers Activity Guide, which can be used in many classroom curriculum.

All Alabama schools will receive a Clean Campus Brochure and Application Form in September of each year. Each participating school must reapply each school year, and the applications will be processed through the PALS office. A mailing list of each school is provide to Alabama PALS from AEA each year and the application will be sent directly to the Administrator of each school. An application form can also be obtained by calling the PALS office any time during the current school year. Each participating school will be able to nominate their respective campus for the annual Clean Campus Competition each year. Nomination Forms are sent to all participating schools in July of each year and are due in the PALS offices in October.

Scholarship awards in the amount of $ 1,000, $ 750 and $ 500 are presented to the First, Second and Third Place Winners. The presentations are made at the annual PALS Governors Awards Program, held in Montgomery in November of each year.
