Mark your calander for the 2013 Coastal Cleanup!

September 21st, 2013!

The third Saturday in September of each year means Coastal Cleanup time in Alabama! In conjunction with the International Coastal Cleanup, PALS partners with the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources/State Lands/Coastal Section to coordinate and implement the Alabama Coastal Cleanup. This annual effort is made possible through our valuable Alabama Coastal Cleanup Corporate Sponsors, Zone Captains and over 5,000 volunteers that dedicate their time and resources to this successful coastal effort. In 2012, over 5,100 volunteers picked up and removed over 220,000 pounds of litter and debris during this weekend cleanup, making the 2012 event the largest in Alabama Coastal Cleanup history.

In addition to the cleanup event, The Original Oyster House, a long time sponsor of the Alabama Coastal Cleanup, sponsored a fund raising event featuring Troy and Jacob from the award winning television program "Swamp People". The event raised over $4,000.00 for the 2012 Alabama Coastal Cleanup.

Large trash bags, Tee-Shirts, Posters, Data Cards and other valuable cleanup materials are provided to all cleanup volunteers, and are distributed at each of the 28 zones from Dauphin Island to the Alabama-Florida line.

View our video for the coastal cleanup here.

During the 25 years of the Alabama Coastal Cleanup, over 71,000 volunteers have picked up over approximately 1.5 million pounds of litter and debris from our beautiful Alabama coastal areas, beaches, state and county roadways and bayous, bays and other coastal areas, making Alabama a beacon for other participating states.

Thanks to the dedication and support from our valued Corporate Sponsors, Zone Captains and 5,000 Volunteers, over 100,000 pounds of litter and debris was picked up during the 2009 Alabama Coastal Cleanup. Make Plans NOW to Join Thousands of Volunteers on September 17th As We Once Again "Get The Trash Out Of The Splash"

Thanks For Making It Possible
